Partners

Rosalind Watchorn

Partner | Private Client Solicitor

Rosalind founded the firm over 30 years ago, having previously worked at Broomheads Solicitors (now DLA Piper). After initially qualifying with a History degree and working in London for the Historical Association, she retrained as a Solicitor and moved to Sheffield in 1986.  

She specialises in Wills, Probate, Trusts and elderly client matters, and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Rosalind lives in Nether Edge and has three grown‑up children and three grandsons. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, walking in the Peak District and spending time with her friends and family.

Rebecca Linsell

Partner | Private Client Solicitor

Rebecca is a Partner at the firm having joined Rosalind Watchorn Solicitors in 1997. She qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and manages the firm. With a specialisation in Wills, Trusts, and Probate, she is also a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Rebecca lives locally with her husband and three children.

Beyond her legal career, she is involved in the community, serving as the lead for girls’ cricket in the Sheffield junior league, and is the chair of Millhouses Works Cricket Club.

Victoria Lymer

Partner | Solicitor | Head of Private Client

Victoria brings 17 years of specialist experience gained in national law firms, advising on all aspects of private client work. Her expertise includes the administration of estates, tax planning, trusts, and the preparation of key documents such as Deeds, Declarations of Trust and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

She lives locally with her partner and children, and enjoys a busy family life alongside her work. Victoria’s combination of technical strength, practical insight and a calm, client‑focused approach makes her a valuable addition to the firm and to the community we serve.

Property

Vicky Cooper

Head of Property | Solicitor

Vicky is a qualified Solicitor and our Head of Property, bringing over 20 years of experience in residential conveyancing. She has extensive knowledge across all types of property transactions and a strong background in management. Known for her client‑focused approach, Vicky delivers an efficient, responsive service and is always on hand to support both clients and colleagues with their enquiries.

Outside of work, Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of short breaks away with her husband.

Niki Middleton

Property | Licenced Conveyancer

Niki is a qualified Licenced Conveyancer who joined us in March 2021.

Niki deals with residential conveyancing, including complex matters; taking clients through the procedures to completion.

Laura Howden

Property | Assistant

Laura plays a key role in our residential conveyancing team, bringing years of experience to the table. She provides essential support to Niki in the Conveyancing department.

Laura lives locally with her husband and two children.

Hannah Brown

Property | Assistant

Hannah joined the firm in April 2024 and has progressed from Admin Support to her current role as Conveyancing Assistant. She is reliable, client‑focused and supports the team with a calm, professional approach. She is also working towards her CLC Conveyancing Technician qualification.

Outside work, she enjoys getting outdoors with her dog.

Private Client & Probate

Rachel Baseley

Private Client & Probate Solicitor

Rachel has practised as a Private Client Lawyer since 2005, and in 2020 was appointed Registrar for the Diocese and Legal Secretary to the Bishop of Sheffield.

Rachel read English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford before obtaining her PGDipLaw and LPC at the College of Law in Chester. She is also a member of STEP.

Susan Carter

Probate | Paralegal

After many years in HSBC’s Probate Department, handling complex estates as part of their technical team, Susan joined our Probate Team in 2014. She is a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Katie Paterson

Probate | Solicitor

Katie qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and deals with probate matters. Having had a previous background in contentious work, her knowledge proves valuable when handling complex probate matters. She is currently working towards her Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualification and lives locally with her husband and daughter.

Dawn Horne

Probate | Paralegal

Dawn has over 10 years of experience as a probate executive, specialising in estate administration. She is known for her calm and well-organized approach. Dawn lives in Sheffield with her husband and two children.

Shaun Talbot

Probate | Legal Executive

Shaun is a Chartered Legal Executive with over 20 years of experience in probate matters. He specialises in administering high-value estates, including intestate estates and complex inheritance tax issues.

Heather Hardman-May

Private Client Executive

Heather joined our team in September 2022, bringing extensive knowledge and experience in advising clients on Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney matters. She has gained her expertise from working at several law firms across South Yorkshire.

A mum of two, Heather enjoys traveling with her family.

Ivani Noel

Private Client | Paralegal

Ivani primarily works on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and also provides valuable support to our Partners on a range of General Affairs matters. She is currently progressing through her SQE Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship and has recently passed the STEP Administration of Estates exam, further strengthening her expertise in Private Client work.

Outside the office, Ivani enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Georgie Boot

Probate & Private Client | Trainee Solicitor

Georgie joined the firm in 2024, supporting our Head of Private Client across all areas of the department’s work, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Trust Registration. A Law graduate from the University of Sheffield, Georgie is currently working towards completing her SQE qualifications to qualify as a Solicitor.

Outside of work, Georgie enjoys spending time with her friends and family and looking after her horse.

Caitlin Gagg

Private Client | Assistant

Caitlin joined the firm at the beginning of 2026 and works closely with a senior Private Client Legal Executive as an Assistant. She supports all areas of Private Client work and handles a wide range of client and third‑party enquiries with a helpful and organised approach.

Outside the office, Caitlin enjoys socialising with friends and spending quality time with her family.

Karen Bothamley

Private Client | Secretary

Karen has many years secretarial experience working within various Sheffield and Chesterfield law firms and is able to offer secretarial support to the Probate and Private Client team.

Karen lives in Chesterfield with her husband and enjoys walking, particularly around her local area.

Dina Moque

Private Client | Assistant

Dina joined the firm in January 2024. With more than 20 years of experience in Private Client law, she brings extensive knowledge and a reassuring presence to her role. She is often the first point of contact for clients, offering calm, clear and well‑informed support from the outset.

Outside of work, she enjoys live music, theatre, and spending time with family and friends.

Admin

Jo Spencer

Office Manager

Jo has worked in the legal sector since 1993, and joined the firm in 2016 as our Office Manager. She plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice, overseeing HR, procurement and a wide range of administrative functions. Jo also supports the firm’s compliance processes, including the ongoing maintenance of our Lexcel and CQS accreditations.

Kerri Hickman

Receptionist & Admin Manager

Kerri worked in the Banking sector for 27 years before joining our team as our Receptionist and Admin Manager in October 2017. Kerri is part of the warm and friendly welcome you can expect when you call or visit Rosalind Watchorn Solicitors. Kerri lives with her Partner in Dronfield and in her spare time is involved with Girlguiding in the local area.
